REFLECTION OF INDIVIDUALITY

The new residential complex is a unique project with high status in its historical context, combining many elements: from its central location in Russia’s cultural capital with a rich local history to high-tech and contemporary solutions and materials. Its interior is a multifaceted spatial environment at the intersection of architecture, technology, and human experience. In designing the lobbies, we drew inspiration from many sources: the city and its island district, 20th-century architecture and art (the visual language reflected in the new facades), contemporary housing trends, the latest lifestyle movements, as well as modern art and cinema.

Trends in modern living and housing, much like trends in art, have their roots in the 20th century. In the age of industrialization, human creative potential was fully realized. The author—the individual, creator, and their thoughts, emotions, and body—became central, the primary value, rather than the artwork itself. Today, any utilitarian object can become a work of art, while an artistic creation should carry a rational and functional context.
