TRADITIONAL ART OF TATARSTAN IN THE CONTEXT OF URBAN CULTURE OF THE LATE 19TH — EARLY 20TH CENTURIES CRAFT AND THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE CITY.
The city and the village in dialogue and contrast. Polychromy, the realm of textiles. The East is us; Kazan is Tatars and Russians, which is why it is important for the viewer to recognize the «own» in the «other» through objects. The main goal is to create an atmosphere of Tatar culture: craft, everyday life, and space (the city).
